PAYMENT, REFUND/DELIVERY POLICY for Touchdown Tours - 17th September 2007

By making payment, we understand that you have read and accepted these conditions.
Deposits and Payments: If bookings are made more than 45 days before commencement of journey, a deposit of $15% per person is due within 7 calendar days of confirmation or the booking will be automatically cancelled. The balance of payment is due 45 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 45 days of commencement of journey require full payment at time of booking.
Late bookings: NO late booking fee will apply for bookings made inside 14 days before departure. Full payment is due immediately.
Amendment Fees: Any voluntary change of departure date and/or amendment of itinerary by client after acceptance will incur an amendment fee of $25 together with any cancellation charges imposed by the hotel/cruises/airlines. Amendments made within 21 days of departure, full cancellation fees will be charged.
Insurance: We strongly recommend full insurance against cancellation charges, baggage loss and medical expenses.
Surcharges: Please note that surcharges may apply during Christmas, New Year, Easter and during conferences. Please check with our office for details. Not included in Tour Price: All items of a personal nature, such as telephone calls, laundry, beverages, excess baggage, gratuities, departure taxes, meals, etc. Cancellations: Written instructions only will be accepted by the operator to cancel reservations.
Air Content: Cancellation fee of 25% is applicable if ticket is issued.
Land Content: Cancellations received 45 days or more prior to commencement of journey will incur a fee of $100 per person. Cancellations received within 45 days of departure will incur a fee of $200 per person together with any fee charged by hotels, tour operators and/or car rental operators/cruise companies.
Unused Services: No refund is given for services not utilised.
Hotels: Hotels specified in the brochure may be altered for similar if necessary.
Cruises: Fully airconditioned cruise ships, all cabins with private facilities. Rates are based on minimum rate two lower berth inside cabins. Single cabins, if available, at a supplement. Cruise company reserves the right to alter itineraries and/or change vessels should this become necessary without prior notice.
Responsibility: All airlines, Touchdown Tours and/or their agents give notice that all tickets, vouchers and coupons issued by them and all arrangement for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodation made by them, are made by them as agents for the passenger, upon the express condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, which may be occasioned by reason of defect in any vehicle or through the acts of default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour, otherwise in connection there with or of any guest-house or hotel proprietor or employee. The aforesaid carrier and/or agents can accept no responsibility for losses or accidental expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, guest-house or hotel overbooking or defaults,sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passengers. Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tour unless insured. Small articles (coats, wraps, umbreallas etc.) are entirely under the care of the passengers. The right is reserved to decline to accept or return any person as a member of any tour or to cancel the tour. All tours and arrangements in this brochure are subject to the General Conditions as specified by each individual Tour Operator, such as Touchdown and pertaining to ground transportation, meals, sightseeing, luggage, tips and taxes, deposits and cancellations. Items of a personal nature, such as laundry, wines, mineral waters, liquors, passport fees, airport taxes, souvenirs, excess luggage etc. are not included in tour prices. Airlines are responsible only for the air travel portion of this programme in accordance with the terms and conditions of their individual passage contracts and are subject to applicable laws, treaties and regulations governing air transportation. The aforementioned conditions shall also apply in regard to-any other means of transportation in connection with the programme. The usual passage contract is used by airlines and the passenger(s); and in purchasing a passage contract as a part of this programme the passenger acknowledges and accepts the foregoing conditions. Airlines will not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not board its aircraft. Passengers travelling on fares which have restricted conditions, must at all times comply with these conditions. All prices quoted are current at the time of printing. Should the exchange rates fluctuate or ground/airline costs increase, you will be required to pay any such increase prior to departure.

How do we collect personal information?
You may be requested to give personal details about yourself when you inquire to purchase, or do purchase, services provided by Touchdown Tours and our partners (hotels, airlines, wholesalers and the like). You may also be required to give personal details about yourself should you enter competitions, or register for promotions. Similarly, when you request brochures or other information to be given or sent to you, as well as when you elect to participate in any surveys or provide us with your feedback.

Touchdown Tours primarily acts in the capacity of an agent, and is obliged to share some of your personal information to other companies involved in providing your travel or related services and facilities. In such cases, other companies may receive personal information whilst at the same time being legally bound to safeguard this information and refrain from using it for other purposes, although Touchdown Tours is not responsible for ensuring this is done.

Trans-border data flows
Considering the worldwide nature of travel services, Touchdown Tours may find it necessary to offer some of your personal information to relevant overseas third party service providers. These may include hoteliers, tour companies, airlines or other such related companies.

Security
Touchdown Tours has implemented appropriate physical, electronic and managerial security procedures that we believe will appropriately protect against the loss, misuse, alteration or destruction of any personal details. We regularly review and up-date security and encryption technologies in order to protect private information to the best of our ability.

Access and correction of personal information
You are welcome to access and correct any personal information you have given us. Similarly, you can ask us to delete your private details, whether in part or in full, from our database should you so desire.

A cookie is a brief piece of text placed within a computer memory, which can later be retrieved by web page servers. Touchdown Tours may use cookies to enhance your interaction and convenience with its web site. We do not use cookies to store personal information.
